International Events

The Invest in Canada Bureau is organizing the Invest in Canada Week that will take place at the Canada Pavilion from October 18-22, 2010.

This week will consist of a series of high level activities (e.g., investment roundtables, armchair discussions) featuring internationally renowned Canadian and foreign participants, and business, academic, and political icons who will appeal to Chinese decision makers and influencers. Each day will be focused on a key sector: automotive, life sciences, clean technologies, ICT, energy and resources. In addition to the daily activities, Canada's presence will be supported by media outreach and promotional activities to create a buzz about Canada in China during the week.

These events will take advantage of the Canada Pavilion to showcase Canada as a business and research partner and an investment location of choice for China by

• communicating Canada’s business advantages (i.e., rock solid financial sector, dynamic cities and clusters, world class transportation infrastructure, research and education sector);
• highlighting Canada flagship sectors and
• fostering the development of relations with Chinese decision makers and influencers.
